What Your Gift Means

Last year YOU helped us blast past our annual goal of $100,000 and reach 86 percent of our $150,000 stretch goal by donating and pledging $129,038.14! Your support, no matter the amount, is always appreciated. We know we cannot do this without you.

In 2019 we have set a new goal of $200,000! This includes annual giving dollars and gifts used to support programs, projects and our annual conference. With the momentum from last year, and awesome supporters like you, we feel confident that goal can be reached.

While we are always in search of unrestricted funds that provide money for areas of greatest needs in our agency, we also have projects and programs we are looking to fund specifically this year. Those include kitchen and IT upgrades, Heat Up Topeka and more.

When you give a donation to Florence Crittenton you are investing in a brighter future for the lives of young girls who need it the most.

You are empowering programs that promote healthy living, which in turn helps to reduce stress, anxiety, depression and more.

You are giving to an outpatient therapy program that assists people of all gender and ages.

Your unrestricted gift can be used immediately toward the area of greatest need to the agency, or you may restrict it to the following areas:

Emergency Shelter

An Emergency Shelter provides 24-hour care to ensure youth have a short–term safe place to stay until transition to an appropriate placement takes place. Florence Crittenton provides this service within a trauma informed and gender responsive environment.  Youth are provided support with immediate needs and also programming to build skills that will support youth in their transition to a long–term placement.

Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF)

Florence Crittenton PRTF program serves adolescent girls age 13–18 with major mental illnesses, substance abuse, and/or high risk behaviors requiring a structured and nurturing environment with active psychiatric treatment. Residents often have had multiple acute needs and have struggled to find their potential at lower levels of care thus leaving families feeling overwhelmed and helpless.

Heat Up Topeka

The Heat is a free community wellness program designed to Heat Up Topeka.  Participants of The Heat are offered education, hands on experiences, and access to direct support on their wellness journey.

Outpatient Mental Health Services

Individual, family, and group therapies are offered by qualified mental health professionals.  The outpatient clinicians specialize in working with children, youth and families who are experiencing effects from trauma, anxiety, attachment, or depressive disorders.  We encourage you to learn more about our outpatient program through our philosophy and treatment approaches page.

Annual Giving Clubs

Our Annual Giving Clubs serve as a way of recognizing our awesome annual donors. Since January 1, 2019 we have received donations and/or pledges from 15 amazing individuals, businesses and foundations totaling more than $13,000.

Major Gifts

All donations $25,000 and above are considered major gifts to our agency. We rely on the strength of these large donations coupled with the foundation of our support -- Annual Giving -- to best assist the agency in carrying out its mission.
